Please think of Payson Area
Habitat for Humanity (PAHH) as you plan your year-end taxable
donations.
The credit can only be taken if the taxpayer itemizes
deductions in the taxable year. There is no longer any baseline
amount, 1996 or otherwise. If the taxpayer donates money to the
qualified charity and itemizes their deductions, they are eligible
to take the credit.
Thanks to State of Arizona Tax
Bill 43-1088, married couples who file jointly may be able to claim
up to a $400 State Charitable Tax Credit! Individuals may claim
$200. Payson Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is certified by the AZ
Department of Revenue to offer this credit. The
Arizona Charitable Tax
Credit (CTC) may be claimed in addition to other types of tax
credits such as those for public schools (Credit for Kids) or school
tuition organizations.
The Arizona Charitable Tax
Credits and School Tax Credits can both be claimed in the same
taxable year.
Due to the uniqueness of each
person's tax situation, the PAHH office staff is not equipped to
help you with CTC details. To obtain further information, please
contact your tax advisor about the Charitable Tax Credit (Tax Bill
ARS 43-1088), call the AZ Dept. of Revenue at 1-800-352-4090, or
visit their website at
www.revenue.state.az.us (scroll down the left column to Refunds
& Credits, a box appears on the right, click/select Charitable Tax
Credit). To print out a Charitable Tax Credit form, locate Form
#321.
You may mail your donation to
PAHH, PO Box 1131, Payson AZ 85547-1131 or hand-carry it to the PAHH
office at 1031 S. Goodfellow Road. The office phone number is

December 31st of the current year tax year to be eligible for the Charitable Tax Credit.
